Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

The short version: Raptor Runner has no accounts, no ads, no cookies, and no third-party trackers. Your progress is saved on your own device and never uploaded. The web version sends a small number of anonymous, cookieless gameplay statistics to a server run by the developer; the desktop and mobile versions send nothing at all.

Who is responsible

Raptor Runner is made and operated by Rico Trebeljahr (address in the imprint). For anything privacy-related, email [email protected].

What stays on your device

All game progress is stored locally in your browser (or in the app's local storage on desktop and mobile). This includes:

None of this leaves your device. There is no account, no cloud save, and no sync. Clearing your browser's site data (or uninstalling the app) deletes it permanently.

The web version can be installed as an offline app (PWA). In that case a service worker caches the game's files on your device so it can run without a connection — that cache contains game assets, not personal data.

Anonymous gameplay statistics (web version only)

The web version at raptorrunner.com sends anonymous gameplay events — things like "a run ended with score X" or "an achievement was unlocked" — to a Plausible Analytics instance self-hosted by the developer at plausible.trebeljahr.com. No third party receives this data.

Because no personal data is stored and no identifier persists, no consent banner is required. To the limited extent an IP address is processed in transit, this happens on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding how the game is played.

The desktop (Electron) and mobile (iOS / Android) builds deliberately disable this entirely — they send no telemetry.

No third parties

Everything the game loads — sprites, sounds, fonts — is served from this site itself. There are no third-party CDNs, no ad networks, no social-media embeds, and no external font services.

If you buy or play the game through a store platform (Steam, itch.io, the App Store, or Google Play), that platform processes your data under its own privacy policy — for example, Steam achievements are handled by Valve's Steamworks. Those platforms are independent controllers; this policy covers only the game itself.

Score cards and sharing

The shareable score card is an image generated entirely on your device. It is only shared if and where you choose to share it, through your browser's or operating system's share dialog.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In practice the game holds no personal data about you that could be looked up or exported — but if you have any question or request, email [email protected] and it will be handled directly by the developer.

Changes

If the game ever changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, an optional online leaderboard — this policy will be updated and the date at the top revised before the change ships.
